After witnessing many gorgeous weddings on the Flatwhite Café front lawn in the 2012/13 season, it was time to go permanent! Mother nature doesn’t always answer our pleas for bright sunny days, so we needed to build something that could be utilised in any weather situation and minimise any impact to our community, whilst still taking advantage of the spectacular views of the Bay and Mayor Island.

The Resource consents have been approved and the building plans are now in place to create the ultimate beach front venue, which will be the Flatwhite Café for a majority of the time and On the Beach Wedding venue when booked. The open plan venue will have floor to ceiling windows along the front (East) and down the south side to maximise the views and a large 3.5m x 12m deck at the very front will allow guests to soak up the suns rays and inhale the fresh salty air.

After your ceremony on the beach front (Tide dependant), your guests will be able to wander back up the stairs to the lawn and deck area over looking the beach to savour and devour post ceremony bubbles and canapés. When ready, your guest will be invited to take their seats in the dining room for the reception dinner and dancing.
